If you or anyone you know ages 4-14 are interested in learning dance then take a look at the Junior Dancers clinic. The Dance Team has an upcoming Kids Clinic on Saturday, September 27th. This event will take place in the South Oldham High School Gymnasium (please enter through the gymnasium doors at the back of the school) from 10am to 12:30pm. This clinic is for all K-8th grade students who are interested in dance. Please register by Tuesday, 9/23 at noon to be able to guarantee a T-shirt for your dancer! The dance team says that registration and check-in begins at 9:30 AM, and the clinic begins at 10 AM. There will also be a performance for the parents that will begin at 12:30 PM. It is $60 per participant and payments can be mailed in as a check (preferred) or paid at registration the day of. It includes a T-shirt, dancing on the sideline the first half of the football game on 10/10, and halftime performance at the football game on 10/10. T-shirts will be received before the football game on 10/10.
The Dance team explains that based on the age or skill level of the participant they will be divided into two separate groups. The beginner group is ages 4-10 and the advanced group is ages 11-14 and will include more technical skills (single pirouette, leaps, etc.). Please use your discretion and knowledge of your child’s skill level when selecting which group to place them in.
Dancers should wear comfortable clothes they can move in and gym shoes. Please bring a water bottle. If you have any questions, please contact Peyton Fransen at [email protected].

Madison is a Senior. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky. She lived in Shelbyville, Kentucky, until age six, when she moved to Jefferson County and finally moved to Oldham County, where she now resides in Crestwood, Kentucky. Her favorite class is English. She is involved in ASL Club, Dragon’s Tale, and Link Crew. Madison also plays Golf at SOHS and has been in the Ski Club in the past. This year, Madison is hoping to achieve her Gold Award and graduate high school, and wants to go to college. Madison is interested in reading and writing, and she enjoys drawing and painting. She hopes to bring her writing skills to Dragon’s Tale. She really likes to create and thinks that hopefully she can handle InDesign this year.
