When homecoming season comes around, finding a dress is one of the most important parts of the entire event.
However, it’s pretty difficult to find a dress that looks good, fits, and matches your aesthetic. According to Sophomore Ellie Borden “I want to find something that no one else is going to have.” Other than the obvious locations of Dillards and Macy’s, there are many other options for places to find a dress. Here is a list of locations that have homecoming dresses that might have something you want.
- Dillards: it’s the obvious option for homecoming dresses, but it never hurts to just look and you may even find a dress you like. The price range is $60-$250.They have a small in store selection, so looking online might be better.

- Ohpolly: it’s a website that is actually reliable. They have a really pretty selection that arrives on time. However they are more on the expensive end with dresses mostly ranging from $90-$250.

- Lulus: it’s also a website that’s actually reliable. The prices are really affordable and range from $25-$100, the selection is amazing especially for a website and there are so many adorable dresses to choose from.

- Macy’s: it’s another obvious option similar to Dillards. They have a smaller in-store collection, so if you don’t find any dresses in store you like, looking online would be much better. The prices range from $50-$250.

- David’s Bridal: Even though it’s a bridal shop they have homecoming dresses for sale. The selection is actually really pretty, and the prices range from $50-$350. It’s an amazing location if you want a dress that’s a reliable quality.
Although it’s a bridal store, David’s Bridal also offers a variety of dresses that would be great options for Homecoming.
- Thrift stores: there isn’t a guarantee you will find one there but if you do they are usually at a cheap price. Some thrift stores you could visit include the Middletown Peddlers Mall or any Goodwill.
Now that you have some ideas on where to go, think about what kind of features you want your dress to have. According to Senior Presley Coffman, “I usually go for a silky corset style and I like to go for a different color every year.” Even if you think you don’t love the dress, try it on because it might be the dress you buy.
