Carter Orlando

Carter Orlando, News Editor

Carter Orlando is not a native to Kentucky and has only been a member of the community for two years. He has moved to five different states in his lifetime. He was born and raised in a small village in Michigan for six years. He then moved to Philadelphia where he only stayed for a year and a half. Next, his family moved to Park City, Utah, where they stayed for five years where Carter learned and spent his Friday's skiing. Then, yet again, he found himself moving, this time to Minneapolis. After only two years, he moved again to his current residence in Crestwood, Kentucky. Though this was not permanent either, with the collapse of the hospitality industry, Carter finds himself moving back home to Michigan. Though through all of these changes in his life Carter has gained some interesting hobbies. Carter learned to ski in Utah, a love for international news and writing in Minnesota, and marched in the marching band as a part of SOHS Colorguard, and competed at the national level of FCCLA in Kentucky. Through his vast experience of different cultures and experiences across the US, Carter has been able to develop a unique perspective. As his surroundings constantly changed around him, he looked out into the world. He gained a love for international news and constantly read on what happened in the world around him. He found a liking in journalism, a way to express all that was going on around him into words. With this interest and friends in the class, he found himself within the SOHS Dragon Tale and News Editor.
