Winter Ball vs. Snow Ball
What’s the difference? Why you should go to The Winter Ball!
This year South Oldham High School’s Leadership Class is hosting and planning The Winter Ball. This is the very first Winter Ball and South students are so excited! Here’s what you need to know about it:
The Winter Ball will be held on February 25th from 7pm-10pm in the auditorium.
As of now tickets, for only $20, are still available. There will be no re-entry and no refunds.
Heels are not allowed because of the new flooring renovations.
This dance is a semi-formal, so homecoming-like attire is recommended
Ticket sales will be a Senior Class fundraiser.
Senior class president, Emily Knable, confirms that “Yes it’s the first winter ball!” Especially after how unusual the past couple of years have been, it is going to be so awesome to start another South tradition.
She encourages South students to go because “it is another fun, homecoming-like dance. We will have snacks, an AWESOME DJ, cool decorations, and lots of dancing! Tickets are only $20 so it’s very casual in that sense. Also, it is a fundraiser for the senior class so it’s always good to support us.”
Now while this is the first Winter Ball, South has had a Snow Ball. English teacher and Sponsor of The Dragon’s Tale , Mrs. Hunt Rock speaks a little of our past traditions.
As you can see, we are all so excited for Winter Ball! Hope to see you there.
