Spring Break Plans

South students and staff have a myriad of plans for this year’s spring break. Whether you plan on going somewhere extraordinary or staying home, we look forward to a week of rest and relaxation. There are several school-related trips happening throughout spring break, including a trip to the Galapagos, chaperoned by Mr. McCoy and Ms. Mills, and a Varsity baseball tournament in Vero Beach, Florida. Senior Hailey Hubbs is going on a cruise to the Dominican Republic as a “big way to end [her] high school spring breaks!”

Many students and staff are choosing to stay home this spring break and enjoy their week off by catching up on sleep and hanging out with friends and family. School Counselor, Kelly Miller, plans to work on projects around her house. She plans on “building raised beds for [her] garden, finishing [their] pool deck, and remodeling the laundry room and kids bedroom.”  While some faculty members are anticipating a relaxing break of getting caught up around the house, others are ready to, in the words of Mr. Burke, hit “the beach on 30A with some of the squaaaaad!”

Regardless of how you choose to spend your break, we hope you enjoy it.  Stay tuned for pictures of spring break in the next few weeks!
