Interact Club is a Rotary-sponsored service organization at SOHS, sponsored by Mrs. Chalfant. The club gives students opportunities to participate in fun and meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends along the way. Mrs. Chalfant states that the club strongly believes in holding service over self.

Every year, the club aims to accomplish one act of service each month, rotating between their school and the wider community. The club’s goals this year include working with HighPoint, Crossroads, and Pillar, all service organizations within our community. Interact Club also has a fun activity planned for teacher appreciation week in the spring.

Interact Club is the annual leader of the food drive for Barry Stoess Christmas baskets as well as a partner with the HighPoint Holiday toy drive. The club is currently hosting a food and toy drive through December 2nd to collect items for these charities. Examples of donatable items include macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, canned vegetables, soup, stuffing, and other non-perishable food items. Any new and unwrapped toys are appreciated for the toy drive. For those looking to donate, items should be dropped off in the boxes by room 124 in SOHS.
